Getting Started

Next week I'm going back to my hometown to visit my folks, and introduce everyone to Jack.

I'm also returning to the place where, 2 years ago, I got my BRAC analysis done, and was told that after I was finished having children, I'd need to decide what I wanted to do as far as preventive therapy went.

My appointment is on Thursday at 2pm. I am nervous, and at the same time, a little relieved. I'm the type of person that, once I decide something, I want to get it over with. I guess you'd say I'm a bit impatient. :P But in all seriousness, I am ready to see a specialist and figure out where to go from here.

I'm a little nervous that when I get there they will say "Huh?". I mean, it is a Cancer Center, and I don't have cancer. I don't know why though; the nurse I talked to yesterday was SUPER understanding and nice. I think I'm just getting cold feet.

I just can't wait to get this first appointment over with.
